Inside the Story
The book opens at a wedding in Cana, where the wine runs out and Jesus quietly turns water into wine at his mother's request — his very first miracle, and a gentle introduction to just how much Jesus can do. From there, tired fishermen who caught nothing all night cast their nets again at Jesus' word and pull in more fish than their boat can hold.
The middle of the book turns to moments of rescue and provision: a paralyzed man is lowered through a roof by his friends and walks home carrying his own mat, a fierce storm on the lake goes silent the moment Jesus speaks, and a boy's five loaves and two fish feed a crowd of thousands with baskets of food left over.
The last pages are the ones children remember most: Jesus walking across the water toward his frightened disciples, and Lazarus — four days in the tomb — walking out alive at Jesus' command. Coloring these scenes by hand helps the size of each miracle sink in a little deeper.
