Moses and the Red Sea Coloring Pages for Kids

Moses and the Red Sea introduces children to the story of Moses — from God calling to him at the burning bush, through the miracle of the Red Sea parting before God's people, to the Ten Commandments given on the mountain. Each page follows one part of the story, so children can take it in scene by scene, at their own pace.

The book also includes simple mazes and drawing challenges to keep young hands busy while they learn, and it closes with a short, child-friendly prayer. It's a good fit for family time, Sunday school, and homeschool Bible lessons for children ages 3–8.

Inside the Story

As a baby, Moses was hidden in a basket on the Nile River to save him from Pharaoh's orders, and grew up in Pharaoh's own household. Years later, God spoke to him through a burning bush that didn't burn up, calling Moses to go back to Egypt and lead His people out of slavery.

Moses asked Pharaoh again and again to let the Israelites go free, and each time Pharaoh refused, until a series of plagues finally convinced him. Pharaoh let the people leave — but then changed his mind and chased after them with his whole army, trapping them against the Red Sea.

With the sea in front of them and the army behind, Moses raised his staff and God split the water in two, letting the Israelites walk across on dry ground. When Pharaoh's army followed, the sea closed back over them, and the people sang and celebrated the way God had rescued them.
